So .... I have now finished the first half. In the full score of op.11 there are now 86 pages of black full notes.
F minor - complicated, I constantly had the urge to "go higher" and was magically drawn towards the dominant c ... C minor ..... It's a quiet piece. Originally I had a Presto part in the Prelude with full organ - I just deleted that and thus shortened the playing time by 2 minutes. There are still well over 7 minutes, which has to do with the rather sluggish tempo .....
I had the slower pieces from Bach's well-tempered piano as a model.
The prelude is simply meant to delight the soul with melodious sounds, before the fugue, a complicated, struggling piece, leaves the listener with some questions ..... a conclusion to the first half of my work, enough writing - listen in for yourself!
