Swiss organist Daniel Meylan (b. 1957) was born in Le Locle and was educated at the Geneva Conservatory in the organ class of Pierre Segond. His focus as a performer and research has related to the baroque repertoire. Meylan served as President of of the “Association des organistes romands” for more than 20 years. In 2015, from the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, he was appointed a consultant for the restoration of historical organs. In 2016, Meylan received the Prize of Artistic Merit from the City of Nyon.
