Sonatine from 30 Pieces, op. 8/I

This music comes from Distler’s “30 Spielstücke für die Kleinorgel“ (30 pieces for a small organ, op. 8/I, 1938), numbers 1 to 4. According to his instructions they form a Sonatine with the movements Intrada, Concertino, Chaconne, and Canon. I have recorded them twice – on Smecno, as the sound of the Renaissance organ (1 manual) perfectly matches this music, but also on Velesovo, as the variety of colors allows to come closer to Distler’s 2 manual house organ, for which this music was written.
