Here is a new episode in this serie. There are still 8 left, almost all already recorded.
I propose you to discover Jean-Joseph Schluty's music. Certainly linked with a famiy from Alsace, he was organist in south west of France at the organ of the cathedral from Agen. I found that he was born on 24 december 1829 in Hordt in ALsace, as son of Sebastien Schluty, schoolteacher and organist. He died on 3 septembre 1920. He was also a prolific composer. He studied at the Niedermeyer school. In 1903 he was awarded with the "Légion d'honneur". I was very enthousiast to play and discover his compositions of the opus 19. His music has real quality (imho).
I play the Göckel organ of Manheim edited by Inspired Acoustic. All pieces are recorded with the dedicated IR, except number 8.... because I forgot to set the IR before recording.
