1 In you I have hoped, Lord,
help me not to be put to shame,
nor be eternally mocked;
I beg you,
keep me in your faithfulness, O Lord God!

2 Incline your gracious ear, O Lord, unto me.
Hear my supplication, and intercede;
come quickly to save me;
in anguish and woe I lie and stand;
help me in my troubles.

4 You are my strength, my rock, my refuge,
my shield, my ability (says your word),
my help, my salvation, my life,
and my powerful God in all distress;
who can resist you?

5 The world has judged me deceitfully
with lies and falsehoods
to capture me with their nets and cords;
Lord, take care of me in this danger,
and keep me from their lying schemes.

6 Lord, I commend my spirit to you;
my God, my God, depart not from me,
take me into your hands, O true God,
deliver me out of all distress until the end
