I regulary play Friedrich-Christian Mohrheim's music since many years. Edo published a few days ago a very convincing rendition of the G minor trio. I decided to reopen the 3 polish scores I bought in the Czech Republic a long time ago and containing Mohreim's organ works.
He was a Bach's student and was organist in Dantzig (Gdansk). Many scores were lost in WW2. He composed very fine music. Two manuscripts in the Staatsbibliothek in Berlin contains all his known works. Some may be attributed to him. The manuscripts are not without mistakes. Some corrections seem obvious to me, but this mainly concerns the second series of chorales which will be published later. I chose an organ that I particularly like : the Bader organ of Zutphen (Sonus Paradisi).
