This bicinium on 'Vom Himmel hoch, da komm ich her' is a so called spurious work, which means that the authorship of Johann Sebastian Bach is questionable. This bicinium is well crafted. Johann Bernhard Bach, J.S. Bach's second cousin, also was capable of composing this.
