Description:
Francesco Feroci (San Giovanni Valdarno, 1673 - Florence, 1750) was an Italian organist, composer and priest. In 1688 he became a pupil of Giovanni Maria Casini in Florence, studying music theory, composition, and organ. From 1697 to 1701 he was organist in various Florentine and Tuscan churches. From 1702 on he deputized for his teacher at Florence Cathedral. In 1719, after Casini's death, he obtained the post of chief organist there.

I recorded the Messa doppia by Feroci which contains 14 versetti. They weren't meant to play directy after eachother, but they obviously had a liturgical use during Mass. However, perfect to show some colours of the wonderful Heilig Geist organ of Ottobeuren.

The surround version of the sample set of the Heilig Geist Organ of Ottobeuren has been released today.
