J C F Fischers's aridane is a quite rareley performed collection of short preludes and fugues in different keys. Here is the 10th prelude and fugue, played on the Hereford Willis organ.
Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer was born in 1656 in Czechoslovakia, and was Kappelmeister to Ludwig Wilhelm of Baden. His works are rarely performed today, but he was considered as one of the best composers of his time. He wrote in the French Baroque style, and both Bach and Handel, knew his works, and borrowed from them. He died in 1746
Thanks for listening.
