Thomas Åberg was born in Stockholm 1952 and works there as composer and music administrator. Most of his works are written for the organ and are characterized by their rhythmical joy, simplicity and humor. His music has been performed by organists at festivals throughout Europe and also in Japan and the USA. He also tours regularly as concert organist with his own works.

"Fanfare to Bethany Lutheran Church" dates from 2015, and is dedicated "to Bethany Lutheran Church, Olean, New York (USA), on their 125 anniversary."
It is a brief and "splashy" fanfare, colorful and effective, but lacking the pageantry and drama of some of the better known English pieces of the same name.
