Thomas Åberg was born in Stockholm 1952 and works there as composer and music administrator. Most of his works are written for the organ and are characterized by their rhythmical joy, simplicity and humor. His music has been performed by organists at festivals throughout Europe and also in Japan and the USA. He also tours regularly as concert organist with his own works.

"Waiting for Astor..." dates from 2003 and is dedicated: "to Hartwig Barte-Hanssen."
This is quite a "wild piece," although I suppose it's not too wild, compared to modern standards!
I have no idea what this is all about, but I'm guessing that it's all the various modes, moods, stresses and joys involved in a relationship.
So, does this all end well or badly? Well, the end CERTAINLY gives the answer, but you'll need to make the journey to the conclusion and find out!
A photo of Thomas Åberg is attached below.
During the coming days, I will be uploading more of Åberg's music. These works vary greatly in style, dynamics and color, and will probably aid in expanding our minds as to what organ music can sound like. :-)
MORE Åberg COMING SOON!
