Thomas Åberg was born in Stockholm 1952 and works there as composer and music administrator. Most of his works are written for the organ and are characterized by their rhythmical joy, simplicity and humor. His music has been performed by organists at festivals throughout Europe and also in Japan and the USA. He also tours regularly as concert organist with his own works.
You can learn more about him from his website -

"Postlude" is a brief, but fine and very effective work. I thought that this actually sounded quite "English," as there were some fingerprints of some pieces by Kenneth Leighton as well as other British composers.
By this I mean that the "style" had similarities and not that he was quoting actual compositions.
Since this one is a free download from Åberg's website, the score is attached below. Also attached is a photo of Thomas Åberg.
During the coming days, I will be uploading more of Åberg's music. These works vary greatly in style, dynamics and color, and will probably aid in expanding our minds as to what organ music can sound like. :-)
Tomorrow: "Three Short Fantasy Pieces"
