When realizing my previous upload, an inspiring hypothetical thought came to mind: suppose that Bach did not write this work for organ, but for harpsichord for domestic use. Whether this is true or not, the chords in low position, which quickly sound heavy on the organ, certainly sound much more transparent on the harpsichord.
