Carson Cooman, organ
Michael D. Costello (b. 1979) is a native of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and was educated at Lenoir-Rhyne University (BA) and Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (MDiv). In 1999 he won the Ruth and Paul Manz Award and won the Region IV Young Organists Competition of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) in the same year. In 2006, he was ordained at the South Carolina Synod Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). In 2008, he was appointed Cantor at Grace Lutheran Church and School in River Forest, Illinois. He has also served as Artistic Director of Chicago Choral Artists, an ensemble of professional singers specializing in the works of contemporary American composers and Baroque masterworks. Costello has composed and published numerous works for organ and for choir.
