Uploaded by: Carillon (04/17/24)
Composer: Zucchinetti, Giovanni Bernardo
Sample Set: OAM 1766 Riepp Dreifaltigkeits- and Heilig-Geist organ (surround)
Software: Hauptwerk VIII
Genre: Baroque
The name of the composer is not entirely clear: the score (B-Note EA-15253) reads G.B. Lucchinetti (1700-1760) without further commenting, but it is most likely G.B. Zucchinetti (1730-1801). Two works by Zucchinetti have survived from a manuscript in Einsiedeln Abbey/CH, and it is possible that the capital letter Z was confused with L, so that sometimes the works were attributed to a non-existent composer G.B. Lucchinetti.

The present recording is "semi-live" in the sense that the two organs were recorded separately and the tracks were joined together using Audacity. A slight left/right perspective was added so that the listener finds himself virtually in the middle between the two instruments.
