A Midsummer Idyl

It was a coincidence that I came in touch with this piece of Frank Howard Warner (1875-?). It was on a CD with pieces from a little organ in a little church somewhere in Thuringia which I got as a gift almost ten years ago. There isn't much known about Frank Howard Warner. Even not the year when he passed away. But for me he wrote one of the most beautiful "dreamy" organ pieces.

You now hear it on the Northrop from Evensong. I'm testing the organ right now with some romantic and contemporary music. And - who knows - maybe Evensong gets me as a new customer.
