Description:	Written for an organist at the Cistercian Abbaye de Valloires and dedicated to Jeanne Salzani. The original manuscript found at Valloires (1951) had its original title 'Élévation' changed to 'Choral Cistercien pour une Élévation' in Alain's hand. Alain's father, Albert, used the title 'Choral Cistercien' to partner it with the pieces 'Choral dorien' and 'Choral phrygien'.
