Kate Emma Boundy (1863-1913) was an English musician from Exeter who has largely been forgotten and very little is known about her. She studied at the Royal College of Music London and was a highly regarded and recognized composer of her time. She became known and successful in particular for her small-format pieces of music, and I have recorded two charming voluntaries: Andante patetico in C and Andante grazioso in B flat. In the last years of her life, she was confined to a wheelchair due to illness.
