Description: | ORGAN*ELLE - Organ music by female composers and organists
Hedwige Chrétien (1859-1944) was a French composer and musician. She studied and taught at the Paris Conservatoire. Chrétien was well-known and recognized among the musicians and composers of her time. With her approx. 150 compositions for piano, orchestra and chamber music, songs etc., she remained true to the classical-romantic style through her own style with clear compositional technique, wonderful harmonies and melodies as well as noble expression.
Pax (Peace), a short piece from the 1922 collection 'Harmonies religieuses' for harmonium, is an excellent way to enjoy Piotr Grabowski's recently released sample set of Emil Müller's harmonium with its warm variety of sounds and enhanced features.
