I recorded these works using only the two flute stops and Vox humana in the manuals and the Subbass in the pedals; some are with tremulant to attempt a celeste effect when called for.
I used the utility of being able to split the keyboard on various notes, attaching the pedals or not, playing up or down octaves as needed, switching hands and parts with crossovers, etc. to achieve these results.
Emma Lou Diemer pieces are recorded with the Szar church reverb impulse at 100% (from AVO); Mendelssohn’s Andante is recorded in the Mannheim church at 100% (from IA); remaining pieces are recorded with the Kolozsvár church reverb impulse at 60% (from IA). No stops were manipulated up or down for this upload. The balance you hear is as it is sampled (and then placed in the aforementioned churches for reverb).
Enjoy. I hope you’re feeling relaxed by the end. I left a literal pillow for you!
