Description:
Christian Friedrich Schale, born March 10, 1713 in Brandenburg, died March 2, 1800 in Berlin, was a German organist, cellist and composer.
A pupil of the organist Christian Rolle, he also studied law at the University of Halle around 1732. In 1735, he joined the orchestra of Prince Henry of Prussia. As a cellist and composer, he joined the Royal Chapel of Frederick the Great in Berlin in 1741. Initially assistant to J. Philipp Sack at the Berlin Cathedral organ, he became titular organist on the latter's death in 1763.

His "Nachspiel fürs volle Werk" appears in the collection of J.C. Kühnaus "Choral-Vorspiele für die Orgel und das Klavier" 1795
