The first prelude in Seth Bingham's Twelve Hymn-Preludes on Familiar Tunes, op. 38 is based on the hymn tune Ajalon (more commonly known as Redhead 76) and associated with the texts "Gracious Spirit Dwell With Me" and "Go to Dark Gethsemane." It is dedicated to Garth Edmundson.

This simple, but evocative prelude serves as a perfect meditation on this favorite Maundy Thursday hymn.
