I always ask myself: If not Bach, who else could have composed such a brilliant piece and was so modest as not to reveal himself as the composer?

But no matter who composed it, it is and remains the most popular organ piece of all time and one of my personal favourites, it still fascinates even after listening to and playing it >1000 times.
