Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750): Wer nur den lieben Gott lässt walten BWV 691, a chorale prelude from the collection named after Bach's pupil Johann Philipp Kirnberger. In terms of style, the piece refers to the original North German way of decorating the chorale melody, but Bach, like no other, masterfully interpreted the meaning of the text in his music.
