The German church musician Josef Kreitmeier (1874-1946), a contemporary of Max Reger, who outlived the more famous composer by 30 years, composed the best-known and (in my opinion) most beautiful hymn for the Feast of Christ the King in the 1930s. "O du mein Heiland, hoch und hehr" is still sung in many parishes today as THE "Christ the King hymn".
Here is my little postlude (Introduction, fughetta and chorale) in romantic style to this beautiful chorale, played on one of the most famous and most beautiful romantic organs.
