Description: This are two advent hymn settings by Karl Hoyer, published in his extensive collection of choral preludes op 57. The first one, "Macht hoch die Tür" is a powerfull setting using the strong and bold tutti of the organ. The second setting features a pastoral theme played on the flutes interrupted by a choral setting by mild reads, the Fagott and Oboe from the second swell division.
