| Description: | Hereby a preview of the upcoming sample set of Piotr Grabowski Virtual Organs. A sample set of the wonderful Van Gruisen organ (1822) of the Broederkerk in Kampen (The Netherlands).
I recorded a fine toccata and fugue by Johann Gottfried Walther. Walther (1684-1748) was a German music theorist, organist, composer, and lexicographer of the Baroque era. Not only was his life almost exactly contemporaneous to that of Johann Sebastian Bach, he was also his cousin. He has written mostly organ works; many chorale preludes, variations, concerti, toccatas, preludes, fugues etc.
The fugue even contains a double pedal part towards the end.
Recorded on the beta test version. It will probably released within a week |
