As long as we have Epiphanytide I'd like to share this nice little chorale arrangement. The composer was new to me. Niels Wilhelm Gade (1817-1890) was born in Copenhagen (Danmark) and later went to Leipzig. There he was assistant conductor of the Gewandhaus Orchestra and also met Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy who became his friend an mentor.
The c.f. is played on the Hauptwerk with the 16' Tuba at 8' pitch and the 8' AUX-Horn coupled from the Positiv. I wanted a broad, thick and warm trumpet sound.
