The second Psalm Prelude has a similar shape and structure to the first, though it is much quieter. Dedicated to Harry Stevens-Davis it is based on the 11th verse of Psalm 37:
"But the meek-spirited shall possess the earth; and shall be refreshed in the multitude of peace."
