Description: | Here is the "first movement" of Carson's "Suite Breve", Opus 894.
The suite is a set of three pieces that may be played either together or separately.
The first movement, "Variations" is dedicated to Adrian and Pam Self.
A presentation of the the lyrical (original) theme is followed by five variations:
Theme (Gently flowing)
Variation 1 (Fast, very rhythmic)
Variation 2 (Same tempo)
Variation 3 (Meditative)
Variation 4 (Dancing)
Variation 5 ((Sarabande-like)
A return of the theme and a brief coda conclude the movement.
I did two versions of this work to contrast the "nature" of the 2 big Willis organs.
This one, shows Hereford to be a bit more "classical," while Salisbury, is a bit more "mystical."
I intend to complete the Suite ASAP!
THANK YOU, Carson! |
