Description: | This, the 10th and final work of the collection, is a fun piece, and has been enjoyed by many students over the years.
I've used the composer's somewhat "novel" registrations and tempo as much as possible, but there had to be some "adaptation", as the Positif on this organ is very small.
This piece reminds me of a sort of "March of the Toys" sort of thing.
The dictionary defines "pasticcio" as: a medley, potpourri or hotchpotch; a musical composition or opera made up of various pieces; a picture based on another’s design or style.
I know that many of you have been very supportive of me during my significant hearing problems.
Yesterday, I got the special hearing aid. The results are grim, and I don't believe that it has anything to do with "getting used to it."
My ears, like those of most of us here, are by necessity quite "fast". Organists have to be quick and must adapt fast.
The sound is poor, pushed and distorted - and this is a top of the line aid...
I'm devastated...
Sorry if I'm a turn-off or a downer. I said that I would let you all know, so, I have.
I am grateful for your support. |
