Choral Nr. 1 in E major

César Franck wrote at the request of the Parisian publisher August Durand a series of organ works "in large style", the "Trois Chorals pour grand orgue avec pédale obligée". These masterpieces were written in August - October 1890 just before his death and now are world famous. Although this surely is a "repertoire piece" I wanted to add my interpretation of it on CCH since this is one of my favorites.
