| Description: | Terry Streeton (b. 1949) — Three Nocturnes: 1. Dusk (2013) for organ
Born in Adelaide, South Australia in 1949, Terry Streeton studied piano and theory as a child, but as a young man switched to guitar, playing blues and rock with various local bands. Later he became interested in synthesizers and composed many works in a light jazz style with classical overtones. Around 2000, he returned to his roots and began composing a number of works in a contemporary classical style, realized primarily with samplers. In 2012, he began writing music for organ. His works are mainly melodic and tonal in style, although he occasionally explores more experimental and dissonant idioms.
On CCH, Streeton is known as "pointyflute." |
