Description:

The organ that is now in the Reformed Church (cleared) state Daarlerveen was assumed to be built in the first half of the 19th century. This was proven when in 1984 some organ builders viewed pipework, and independently concluded an age of about 150 years. About these beginnings are no details known.

On July 7, 1937 the organ builder Reil (when Rotterdam) started with the demolition of an organ in the Reformed Church in Meppel. He built a new one in Daarlerveen without the original greenhouse, and a new front. The organ was in a separate "organ chamber" and stood in front a brick arch. From descriptions of ancient church the operation of the swell was impressive. It is not clear whether the swell was already present in Meppel, and whether they fit in the original construction.
