Description: |
This composite, dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, is based on the Cavaille-Coll organ of the Sacre-Coeur Basilica in Paris, France. It uses similar sample sets (Caen St. Etienne, Notre Dame de Metz, Dom Bedos Demo) in order to achieve a resemblance to the actual organ and its acoustics. However, it does not intend to exactly replicate the organ, but rather to give the resemblance as stated above. It is an French Symphonic type with reverb around 8 sec. It is a 79 stop organ with 4 manuals and pedal, and the keyboard compass in 61/32. The sound is characterized by very wet immersive acoustics perfect for works of Vierne, Franck, Dupré and the like. |
