Description:

Memorial Church of Bishop Prohászka was built in 1929-1933 in classicist style, according to the plans of Gáspár Fábián. The height of the dome of the perfect circular church is 52 meters and its inner diameter is 30 m. The size of the dome is the size of the dome of Florence cathedral and the Hagia Sophia and the cathedral of Berlin. This is the biggest dome in Hungary. The building is truly imposing, but its acoustics are problematic due to the extremely high echo.

There was no money to build an organ, then came the World War and the Communist period, during which the liturgy was provided by a harmonium and then an electric instrument. This period lasted until 1998. At that time, the church received an organ as a gift from the Aachen-Burtscheid Saint Michael Church.

The three manual and 29 stops organ were built by the Aachen Stahlhuth Organ Factory in 1961. The organ has a mechanical console and electronic registration, the number of pipes are 2118. This little organ - like all the Stahlhuth organs - combines French and German organ building traditions.

The following friends helped me to make and publish the sample set (in alphabetical order): Dominique Dantand, Gérard Lefranc, Nagy István, and Adrian Wheal. If something's done well, it's thanks to them. Thank you for their work.
