For the construction of the organ of the CGK Ichthus in Urk, material from the former Kleuker organ of the St. Johanniskirche in Hannover was largely used. The pipework of the Detlev-Kleuker organ was ‘widely’ scaled and therefore offered many possibilities for creating a different sound image, for example. The construction of the current organ is in width and made with modern materials. Apart from the pipework and windchests, nothing of the old materials has been reused. Organ maker Ide Boogaard from Rijssen was commissioned to build a three-manual organ. Stef Tuinstra acted as advisor. Together with the organ committee they started to realize a new beautiful instrument. |
