The composer writes: “‘An Italian Suite for Organ (Suite Italiana)’ (2003) was written to highlight the beauty of pure thirds, as well as to push the limit of usable chromaticism permitted within the limitations of meantone temperament. The seven movements are based on commonly used musical forms in 17th century Italian keyboard music.”
