Hereford Cathedral Willis Organ

Software: | Hauptwerk IV |
Genre: | Pipe Duster |
Description: | As suggested by David Lamb (Agnus_Dei), I needed to take a break from working on the first movement of the Bach/Vivaldi "A Minor Concerto" ... so I chose this piece from Volume 3 of "Pipe Dusters" ... a pull-out-all-the-stops collection for the church organist. (Lorenz Publishing Co.)
This is my third upload of this piece, the first being on the Cavaillè-Coll, Saint Eucaire (1902): http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/playmusic/17757
The second was on the Rotterdam Laurenskerk Main Organ: http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/playmusic/17806
All three organs have their own distinctive qualities. To me Saint Eucaire seems to be a bit less of a refined sound than the Rotterdam Laurenskerk Main Organ, and the Hereford Cathedral Organ has that big "tuber", which I use in this recording for the solo line in the middle section, but I find all three recordings to be very satisfying.
