This interesting chorale prelude (fantasy) is new to me. A friend pointed me to it in an article from a recent periodical. From that account I gleaned a need for an exploration of tone color in the divers parts given by Buxtehude. Tempi presented other considerations altogether. The suggestions were slow, and I decided to meet the spirit of the chorale and liven the paces. Temperament is D’Alembert with A at 415.
