Description: | This work was formerly attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach as BWV Anh.90, and to Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach as H.388. but now seems to be by Johann Philipp Kirnberger.
The subject is similar to fugues by Buxtehude, Telemann and others.
I first heard this played by E Power Biggs on his 2 LP survey of Schnitger organs. Some years later I found the music in a book on musical anlalysis and this is the music that is attached. It shows the structure of the fugue which is educational. Now of course there are various versions on IMSLP.
