In the old concert programs after the first years of the construction (1927) of the Walcker organ in Gelsenkirchen one reads that especially G. Bunk (whom I presented in my last recording) often played French literature on this organ in concert.
This prompted me to record a sound sample with 3 short pieces by famous French composers: 00:00 Vierne: Kyrie (from "Messe solennelle") arrangement by Peter Wagner -> Fonds et Anches de 16', 8' et 4'. 02:23 Franck: Prelude "Ave maris stella" -> Solo (Fagott 16' an octave higher) and Bourdon 8´ 03:17 Guilmant: Valet will ich dir geben -> Grand Choeur
