No, it's Finnish and means "the young shepherd boy".
Here I have discovered something else. This time it's something completely different. A folk tune from Finland, maybe some of you have sung it in music class. I composed a 4-part movement for it in June 1997, with fine contrapuntal movement in the voices. The verses are each accompanied by a "choir" of horns, which the shepherds intonate, possibly to make the sheep feel good. To ensure that the sheep are really well off, I have added very beautiful chords underneath. Although the piece is in major (A-flat major sounds very calming), I have included a lot of "minor", which may make the piece seem a little melancholy. This impression is further emphasised by the beautiful organ of St. Jean-de-Luz, which is located near Biarritz.
