Description: | Unfortunately these three chorale preludes are all what is left of Christian Geist's output for the organ. These pieces are in the Uppsala manuscript and it's not even sure they are really from Geist, since his names was first indicated in the manuscript but later erased. But let's presume they are from Geist.
Christian Geist was a baroque composer who mainly lived and worked in Denmark, Scandinavia. His works are true examples of the North German baroque style.
Time stamps are in the video, together with the German hymns, which have the same melodies.
Auke Jongbloed from Partitura Organum did a wonderful job editing these piece from tablature to a (for modern days) readable score. The scores can be found here:
