1 Puer natus in Bethlehem,
unde gaudet Jerusalem.

[1. The Child is born in Bethlehem,
Rejoice and sing, Jerusalem! Alleluia.]

2 Hie jacet in praesepio,
que fegnat sine termino.
Hallejuah.

[2. Low in the manger lieth He,
Whose reign no bound or end can see. Alleluia.]

3 Cognovit bos et asinus, asinus,
quod puer erat Dominus.

[3. The ox and ass their Owner know,
And own their Lord thus stooping low. Alleluia.]

4 Reges de Saba veniunt,
auram, thus, myrrhum oferunt.
