Description:
Among all musical styles I explore, my attention was drawn to this composer : Paolo Altieri. He was born in Naples in 1745. He learned music there under the direction of Francesco Durante. He was soon engaged by notables of the city of Noto in Sicily where he arrived in 1766. He worked, married and died in this city of south Sicily where he was Maestro di Capella for all churches. He composed many sacred works, and also instrumental pieces (mandolin, harpsichord, organ). I propose you to listen to some organ pieces (pastorals ans Sonate Brevi). He gives tempi indications always in the same way : andante, andantino.... This is typical napolitan music. I decided to play and record on the Giubiasco sset, using its italian side.

1. Pastorale in A M

Sonate Brevi
2. in C. Allegretto 3:40
3. in C. Andante 4:57
