Description: | Johann-Melchior DREYER (1746-1824) composed and published chamber music, sacred music (50 Masses) and organ music (24 sonatas in 4 books, 1800-1803). He was organist in Ellwangen. His compositions sound in classical style.
The last sonata of the third book is very nice (and as nice as others). The first movement consists in a serie of variations with a dacapo of the theme. The final has a debonair and exalted side, typical of the writing of this period. It's very joyful music... nice for an Easter Day.
I use the original score (avaible on IMSLP), correcting some little mistakes.
