Description: | Johann Erasmus Kindermann (29 March 1616 – 14 April 1655) was a German Baroque organist and composer. He was the most important composer of the Nuremberg school in the first half of the 17th century.
The Magnificat, which would have been used "in alternatim" at Vespers, contains six verses.
Primus Versus - Plenum, without reeds, but with the Trommet 8' in the Pedal
Secundus Versus, Choral im Discant (mit 2 Claviers) - OW Flutes 8' & 4' and the cantus on the RP Sesquialtera
Tertius Versus - a small fughetta on the BW, using the Krumphorn 8' & 4' (Notice how the reed sound is dominant in the lower registers, but a "flute-like" sound appears the higher it goes! ;-)
Quartus Versus (Echo mit 2 Claviers) - OW Gedackt 8' & Nassat 3' (for the fortes) and RP - Quintadena 8' (for the pianos)
Quintus Versus (Choral im Bass) - RP - Rohrflot 8' & Waltflot 2', and OW - Trommet 8' for the cantus
Sextus Versus (Gloria) (Tutti) - Plenum with 8' Trommet 8' on the manual, and Dulcian 16' & Trommet 8' in the Pedale. |
