Smon Sechter (1877-1867) was an Austrian composer and incidentally a teacher of the famous composer Anton Bruckner (1824-1896).
Even Franz Schubert (1797-1828) - already mortally ill - received a counterpoint lesson from Simon Sechter at his home.
Sechter reportedly composed a fugue every day from 1849 until his death !
His "Präludienbuch" is a collection of short, easy-to-play, yet beautiful preludes in all common keys.
