Description: | This guy is new to me. However, the price for his organ books was cheap enough on Amazon so I thought why not? They are described as being a collection of easy pieces - they can be played on manuals or with pedals. We've all been in situations where we need some music fast that sounds good and is sight readable. Well this books seems to fit the bill.
The 46th piece is a wonderful March. It starts with full organ before moving to a quieter section of almost choral like writing. This second section is marked Piu lento and then underneath, 'Christus vincit'. I really like the ending D on the pedal - there is something about hitting this note on the Klais organ with the 16 foot Principal and 32 foot Contrafagott that makes a wonderful sound, almost like a drum beat as it rumbles away.
Flor Peeters (1903 - 1986) was a Belgian organist, composer and teacher. To read more about him visit http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Lib/Peeters-Flor.htm.
Hope you enjoy.
